- Junior in Information Science
Hi! I'm Eldon, a junior at the University of Michigan majoring in Information Science (the BSI program). I was born and raised in Hong Kong before coming to the US for college. Previously, I went to Syracuse University and I studied Information Management and Technology, Accounting, and Computer Science. Before transferring to U of M, I had the opportunity to do summer research at Stanford University, where I explored the future of EdTech and other moonshot ideas with my peers.
I enjoy photography, videography, and travel. Taking a picture captures a moment in time, and a video captures multiple instances of an event, which is the reason why I love both photography and videography. Whenever I travel, I like to document the places I have been to, shoot an iconic picture that represents the entire story, and make a video that documents the rest of the trip. Both photos and videos go hand in hand together really well, and I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to be a content creator.
I am currently interning at the UMSI Engagement Learning Office as a data analyst. I gather data, perform data cleaning/analysis, and I would make use of the data and report my results. This is an amazing experience because I gain hands-on experience in doing real-world data-related work, which is something that I'm aspired to do after graduation.
